To say the pandemic is difficult is a massive understatement. But what if you belonged to a group of people who could be denied medical services, equipment, and care simply because of who they are? Discussions of the value of disabled lives and the acceptable loss of the vulnerable leaves me as a disabled person horrified and more than a little frightened. But standing in stark opposition to that are direct support workers, agencies, and a movement committed to battling prejudice with pride.
